Web Designer Directories - Does anyone use them?

For those of your that work as professional web designers, I was wonder if you use Web Designer Directories for advertising your services?

Sure I free listing can't hurt but , do you pay for any premium listing or ad space?

Which directories to you use?
Does it bring you any business?
Are there others you recommend?

I submitted to a few around 5 years ago, but didn't get any useful traffic from them so I didn't bother again.
