    WP and PHP

    Hey,

I am creating a WP blog for the first time and programming with PHP. When i download the file and uplaod it, i tried conecting to my website with a URL similar to the one below:-

    Code:
    www.abc.com/blog
When i did this i received an error saying i dont have the wp-config file. This was because i have not connected to a database. So i am asked to manually create one..

Now what i want to know is what fields does the table need to have..?

Do i need more than one table?

    Please help.

    Regards

I believe there is a template file you can use

    wp-config-sample.php or similar???

Just rename that file and change the fields to reflect your localhost DB settings and it should work.
The only constant in software is change itself

The message means to manually create a config file, not to manually create the database tables.
You will need to create an empty DB on your server first (and a MySQL user with access to it), then as PCSpectra said rename wp-config-sample to wp-config.php
Edit that file with the DB credentials and the WP installation process will create and populate the tables for you.
