Anybody use SlingShotHost?

I found them via a facebook ad. It seems that they offer most everything hostgator does, but give you a bit more space. Has anyone used them?

Quite likely, too new to have a significant number of customers. Which means too knew to know whether they'll be around a year from now or not, or how their service really is. These things take time.

What they offer seems to be pretty standard in most Linux shared hosting plans. Perhaps its better to go with a more reputable provider. How much disk space and bandwidth would you need anyways?

Oh I'm already with Hostgator and I'm very satisfied. This host just kinda piqued my interest.

Dan is right they are quite new and that's why you might not have a lot of information stored for them. But at the same time that doesn't mean they are bad or something like that.
Thake it easy - if you like what they offer just give them a try

But in any case signing up with unknown company that is the risk

If they have a money back guarantee that can be an assurance to some extend, to withdraw if the service is unsatisfactory. Provided they respect their money back policy properly.

If this company providing the same hosting features as HostGator then why you don't you go with experienced company rather than new company.

Ok, there is something I don't get...
You say that host is offering "a bit more space". HOW if they are offering "unlimited" just like hostgator is. Looks like the next scam offering unlimited packages, which are actually nowhere close to unlimited, simply because there is nothing unlimited.

Its new company lauched so hard to take a call on it. But before taking any decision read it reviews in google. Search reviews company name. You won't get much but get an idea.

I would not trust SlingShotHost at all. Please do a Google search for "PeerGuardian hijacker threatens Shareaza" for more information about the owner, William Erwin.

There are many reputable web host around that provide affordable web hosting. You can easily find discount coupon code of up to $50. I advise you not to go for web host that is hardly heard of.
