    Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulainor

Or, if you live in the US/UK, just Amelie.

Though, I'm not quite sure how a movie could make one feel better about mankind ...

    The Pianist.

A poignant, true story of a hopeful pianist and how he lived his life in the midst of war.

That's funny. When I saw the title of the thread I thought of LOTR too. But mostly because it's my favorite movie(s).

I'm not sure there are any movies that I've seen that made me feel "inspired". Maybe I'm watching the wrong movies.

I recommend Little Miss Sunshine. It's an AMAZING movie, it's both hilarious and dramatic and, in my opinion, it teaches without intending to. Watch it and PM me, I'd like to know your opinion on it

Movies are snippets of life, sometimes profound, often banal, funny as well.

As a blanket statement, why would you judge humankind as bad Maleika? I'd say that there are many bad people, but there are many more good and decent people. I never look at the whole of mankind, I judge individuals. A much healthier way of looking at the world, for we are all individuals who can not be lumped into one pile.

    My favorite inspirational movies:

Life is Beautiful Struggle to make life a happy one under horrendous circumstances.

    A Time To Kill Justice

My Cousin Vinny Clash of two cultures and the resulting comedy of errors.

There are three kinds of men:
The ones that learn by reading.
The few who learn by observation.
The rest of us have to pee on the electric fence.

"Mr. Holland's Opus", "Big Fish", "Meet Joe Black", and "Dan in Real Life" are films that come to mind.
