    Data Structure -- sort of

I'm trying to figure out how I should structure the data for a website. I want to be able to dynamically create several types of documents (HTML, PDF, TXT, CHM, etc.). However, I'm going to want this data to be in a database.

So, for example, I may have an article in a database, but I want to figure out the best way to structure the data of the article. I looked into restructured text and that seemed to be what I was looking for, but, now that I think about it, XML seems to be the best way to do this, not restructured text.

What do you think is the best way to go about this? I like the idea of the data being stored in the database as plain text, but, honestly, it needs some sort of markup.

You should only save the content. So saving in text isn't that bad.

You could also save the file itself in blob.
