I have no idea why it's so hot, but at least once a week someone I've never heard of follows me... something works, at least... I don't get it, but there you go... mysteries of nature, kids...

In my opinion, twitter will need to make it more better.. not talking about the applications but need to make some more changes or it will be only used as a meeting point in future where we will meet people and then get them added to facebook or some another site or messangers.. that's it.

Twitter is a burn out for most and accelerating in salivating for others who continue to learn about how to make the best use of Twitter.
For example, I'd consider myself to be 'intermediate' with Twitter. I have 2,600 followers but now I want to get "more targeted" followers instead of a bunch of Internet marketers trying to sell me seo services, right?

But don't know why I am not able to follow more than 2k peopleYes, officially, from someone who just crossed the 2,000 follower mark, and I was watching very closely, once you get 2,001 followers, you can follow as many as you want.There's no specific limit on the number of people that you can follow.
Even if a bunch of followers leave you and you go down below 2,000, it doesn't matter once you are at 2,000 for the first time. Getting to 2,000 took quite a while but growth happens pretty rapidly after that.
I guess as part of the process I'm learning about twitter, and being inspired by the previous post I made at the top of this page about how most of my followers are Internet marketers (not my target), I'm now focusing on following (and being followed hopefully in return) by people in my client target market.
So, I came across a program called TweepSearch.com which has a really good search system that looks at keywords in peoples' bios. Just this week, I've recruited about 200 "targeted" followers. So, I'm much more into twitter again now that I'm conversing with potential clients!!

Well the media seems to still love Twitter, so that really helps. But can it help you make money...people claim it brings traffic, but I am not so sure that twitter traffic is really that great when it comes to getting sales. Twitter itself cannot ever figure out how to make money.
So it might be hot in terms of popularity, but not when it comes to making money.
Where i m working as a Software Developer that company's SEO Experts telling like "Twitter is good trafic generator. If you want trafic for your Website then Twitter is best. Twitter give you as much as Followers."
Twitter is okay i guess when it comes to socializing with other twits. But as a resident user we ask for more application and other medias.
Twitter is cooling for few reasons:
1) Putting links there, is spamming
2) People do not care to know you're going on lunch or make a pee
3) Less than 5% of followers actually read tweets, becasue reason #2
