I would advise you to have a look at asmallorange, webhostgiant and site5.
These companies provide not expensive services with skillful support.

Hostgator are well known with the shared and reseller Linux hosting plan. I would rather register my domain with goDaddy for easier management and use that domain name with Hostgator hosting account.

I hear that they are acceptable. I do not host with them though. They do offer IP's from multiple different Class C's though.

My vote goes to one of your choice--HostGator. Besides it, I'd recommend LimeDomains--the latest entrant in web hosting business but offering reliable hosting solutions at most competitive prices in the market.
Check it out!

Speak with their respective clients support team, ask some questions and inquiries, see which hosting provider provide the type of support that meet your requirements. This might help you to decide a comfortable host to go with as you might build a long term business relationship with them.

I currently use 1and.com as my host for 2 domains, 2 websites and my wordpress blog host. They are increasing the monthly charge to $6.99/month from $4.99/month while their service is deteriorating. Does HostGator have a plan less expensive with unlimited storage/transfer, and ability to transfer my domains and sites relatively hassle free?
