Can't get XP to recognize other network devices

I reformatted my WinXP comp last night and now it will not recognize the other devices on my network (network drive, other computer). Computer and workgroup are both named the same as before. I'm guessing it is a setting somewhere in XP but I am tired of looking for it.

    Any ideas?

Have you tried turning off the firewall? I don't remember but I believe the XP firewall lacks the capabilities of the firewall in Vista (i.e., opening/closing ports and other services.)
    Logic without the fatal effects.

I hadn't until I read your post, interestingly enough doing so has made the network drive appear in my network places folder but still not the other comp, and I still cannot access the drive nor will it let me map it or login to it's admin page via my browser. Though it is accessible from my other comp still.

Are you in a home network? You should have the same workgroup name.

Yeah I traced it down to what else, operator error.
