I see than nobody has made a July challenge yet, so I decided to make it. In the spirit of the 4th, my challenge is for you to post very vibrant photos. Can't wait to see them!
This one is from last year. I'll be trying to get a better shot tonight!

Great Thomas! Thanks for starting us off
Good theme too, so let's see what gems come in this month.

Vibrant eh?
Well I was cursing some fairly vibrant language when this happened:
That picture was because I tilted my camera back too far when I was trying to take a photo of the roof of the Hastings Caves in Tasmania and the tripod backflipped off piece of rock and fell along with my camera about two meters to the ground. Apparently the Canon S1IS is designed to handle falls onto solid rock from a height of at least two metres as this is the photo I took after picking it up:
Here's the city of Calgary looking rather vibrant in the evening.

Took this in South America. Was cleaning out a filing cabinet and stumbled across it. It's a scan, as I've lost the original image. Was gonna edit out the pot marks... but then I remembered -- I was just going to quickly throw something up to share. Those are some great images already!

Wow, a great capture! Was it a Humming bird?

This is a view in my neighborhood of a sunset late last year.
I particularly love the subtle shades.

I think the word "vibrant" is a perfect word to describe my pooch's personality.

Terrific use of Depth-of-field!
Just shot these today. The lighting condition wasn't ideal. Enhanced them in Camera Raw..
