Should I use a CMS for this type of website ?

    Hello,

Lets say I want to build a type of website that is similar to "ratemyprofessors" in the aspect of searching a specific school, and listing a bunch of rows of data (and more infomation once clicked upon, in the case of ratemyprofessors, rows of Professors and respective information).

Does CMS such as Joomla or Drupal allow such functions ?? Or am I stuck with developing something on my own (will be using php/mySql if I have to do it) ??

Sorry if I posted on the wrong section. Its 5am and I am very tired but wanted to get this post out there before I head out for the weekend. Thanks !!

I would say yes as it will allow you to manage the information nicely. Whether you'll find it as standard functionality however is a different question. Maybe creating a plugin or module for a cms to do what you need?
