Nice interview. Although I would watch the use of double barreled questions (or triple/quadruple barreled) http://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/559/06/

Oh, I didn't just mean the question in the interview. I've read your coherent and illuminating explanations in other threads as well, and I have learned a lot from them.

I am totally awed by Mitteneague's interview and by your accomplishments Brandon.
I'm a piano player too and have been for over 40 years, yet I still use printed music for most pieces and also still must look at my fingers from time to time.

Computer programmer -- You don't pick the easy way out do you? Very impressive! We couldn't have chosen a better MOTM. Congratulations, but this small honor pales when placed besides your other accomplishments.

Thank you very much. Honestly though it's not all that hard once you're used to memorizing so much. It just takes practice.

Honestly it's all in what you need to do. You do the seemingly impossible when it is necessary. If I hadn't memorized music from the start, I simply would not be a pianist. But since you are able to rely on print music and looking at your fingers, it can be a lot harder to make yourself give up those things.

Thanks again. No I'm not known to choose the easy way. I am just naturally curious, and really wanted to know how web sites worked and were made; that's how I got into programming.

Ah, I think you give me too much credit. I am very grateful, though. I am just glad to be able to share my limited knowledge.
