Spam private messages.

I appreciate that the tagline to my Avatar makes me a prime target; but I am getting pretty sick of spam private messages. The senders usually only have a couple of posts; probably because the mods get to hear about them and close their accounts. Wouldn't it make sense to only allow people with a certain amount of posts to send private messages. No; on second thoughts why the hell should these lowlifes be allowed to spoil something that makes SP what it is; let's hunt them down and shoot them instead. Or better still make them read the drivel they send over and over.

I did put forward the idea that the report button in posts should be added to PM's so that it's easier for the member rather than having to find someone online to report it too, though I dont know what the current status on that idea is

I never get spam on here, its one of the things I like about sitepoint. My account on digitalpoint gets spammed all the time.

The report-PM button should be on its way some time soon. I've suggested the idea numerous times and the usual answer is 'it's in the pipeline'.
