serious video game addiction -- pet society and farmtown

How can we help those who are enslaved to video games? Ideas people!! My wife is neglecting me already. She won't have breakfast and rarely stands up to drink water all because of facebook's pet society and farmtown. This addiction is causing her and me all kinds of problems. For instance, I get to cook and clean the house all by myself. What's worse is she is blaming me for it because I was the one who introduced her to the gaming world. Blocking the address or any modifications on the PC is not an option because she'll definitely know it. She might use another mistake to blackmail me. She knows she is addicted but has no willpower to break free. I have been praying for her hoping for a miracle.

I don't know if you're serious about it or just joking, but game addiction is just like other addictions, it needs to come from the person herself, if she's not wanting to quit, except sending her in jail, there's no way to make her quit against her will.

Well, the whole point of Pet Society (which I have to admit, is very addictive) is earning coins and buying stuff. One way of earning coins is by doing stuff on the game, but that takes a while - a fast way is by paying by credit card.

So, if you take the gamble and pay for loads of coins (not much; 26000 coins is £25) then she'd probably get bored of the game because there won't be much left to do.

Now I'm only 15 so my opinion might not have a lot of waight but I'll give it anyway.
Also I'm no tharipest.
But you should sit down and talk about it with her, theres no reson for her to stop (is there?)
if not just have her play 1 to 2 hours a day no more or
she cant play Intel she dose some work or something,
you work that out, but what I'm trying to say is let her play (but not to much)
it good to have fun every now and then but don't let it control her/your life.

Why don't you invite her out sometimes instead? so she can take a break from playing, spend some time with you and she'll eventually realize she's neglecting you. that worked on me...

Why don't you try other recreational methods..

- Take her out for a romantic dinner may be.
- Involve her to play with kids in the garden

I love top play pet society and typing mania.. I'm very addicted to typing mania.. OMG, even I'm at work, I still play typing mania...

This is a very serious problem that needs addressing right now, else your relationship could break apart at any moment. It doesn't matter what causes the addiction - games, alcohol, TV - these sort of things wreck peoples lives.

You need to be fully honest with her and tell her your concerns and feelings, if she doesn't react positively then you need to get serious and start hinting that the relationship isn't working and you're thinking about kicking her out. Sometimes a shock will wake a person up.

Failing that I'd recommend looking around for some sort of counselling.
