Needing help with beginner flash movie.

    Hello everyone,

I am a Flash newbie and I put together a small movie for a website I am working on for a customer. I want to impress him a little. . Anyway, right at the end of the movie I have a shape tween that morphs from a letter into the logo. Only thing is, right at the end, the image seems to "pop" on the screen and not slowly morph in. I am not sure what to do to correct it. You can see it by going to: http://users.adelphia.net/~jfloyd2/Synthesys/flashtest

I'd like to know what the Flashers out can suggest to fix this or to make it better looking. Thanks!

Could you just extend the number of frames that it morphs??

I guess I could, but would that fix it popping up like that or would it just delay the pop more? thanks.

Gave it a try and it just delays the pop. It's like it tweens to a certain point and then POP.

My observation though i'm not an expert by any means.

The logo is a symbol of a bitmap so maybe its not possible to morph from a vector graphic to a bitmap graphic symbol.

    Though I might be wrong

qamar is correct. You can't morph a vectpr object into a raster object regardless of whether both objects are symbols.

Is there anything out there to covert raster to vector or will it take me redoing the logo in some other vector image program? Thanks.

There is a tracing tool within Flash which you can try.

In my opinion its best to just redo the logo in a vector programme like freehand and then import it back into flash. I suppose if the logo is not too detailed you can also redo it within flash though I'm more comfortable with the freehand drawing tools.

Yeah, for what you want to do you need to be working in all vector art. I also find the blue extremely difficult to read on the black background and the entire intro does not flow fluidly at all (at least for me).
