    Links to other sites.

    My client has asked to include a link to another website. That website is badly written in Word HTML format. Is it a security risk to have a link there (or even a return one)?

    No it's not a security risk, though a risk of your visitors to think bad of your site if they go there from your site.

    The fact that the site was authored in Word does not present a security risk, but any site could potentially be malicious--either by design or because the site has been compromised. I would use the same policy you use when linking to any other site.
