Moving Wordpress Blog from GoDaddy to HostGator (Cpanel) Easiest way?

So I have a hostgator account with a blog already so I want to move my other blog hosted on Godaddy to the hostgator account.

    Should I:

-Copy the FTP files exactly into the newly created Dir?
    OR
-Export a Wordpress XML file and upload it on the other side?

If the server has the Webhosting Management Control Panel (WHM) installed, you can us that to transfer the site from the old server to the new server. It will transfer everything - files, databases, email accounts and even create the users on the new server.

Manually you would backup all ftp files, then reupload them.

Create a new database with the same name, username, and login, and import the old database.

Make sure to keep the backup, also don't cancel your hosting account with the existing host until the transfer is completed.

You'll need to contact HostGator tech support to make sure your site isn't too large if you chose to do it other than ftp. HostGator talks the talk... but they have a lot of file size limitations.

Shoot their tech support and email and ask them to help you that is the easiest way.
