Cool Whats the name of your Band? You'll be surprised...

OK, I found this game on Facebook... but it is totally sweet, so rather than bother with posting my effort to Facebook I thought we ought to start our own one of these, simply because its absorbingly good fun.

Here are the rules ( I adapted the game and added the final two rules)

CREATE YOUR BAND NAME & ALBUM COVER:

    To Do This

1 - Go to Wikipedia. Hit “random”
    or click http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random
The first random Wikipedia article you get is the name of your band.

2 - Go to Quotations Page and select "random quotations"
    or click http://www.quotationspage.com/random.php3
The last sentence or perhaps the last four or five words of the very last quote on the page is the title of your first album.

3 - Go to Flickr and click on “explore the last seven days”
    or click http://www.flickr.com/explore/interesting/7days
Third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover.

5 - Post it to FB with this text in the "caption" or "comment" and TAG the friends you want to join in.

    4. Go to Amazon, click on 'recommendations' and list, as your track listing for the rear page, the first 10 fiction book titles that are in your list.

5 - Use Photoshop or similar to put it all together.
For the Font, you can use any of the first-listed fonts on your computer, but only from ones that start with a letter from your name, first or second. Mine was A, Accidental Presidency (probs a freebee I got somewhere...)

    6. Special Rule.. just do the above without any restrictions, or feel free to hit 'reload' until something catches your imagination (it doesn't always work out the 'right' way anyway...
And now for my band: Guess which deliberate error No? Ok, I confess I rushed though doing this and completely mispelt integrity, so its a bit foolish, but could I be bothered to change it just to save my red face? Nah.....

..also for extra good measure of fun.. imagine what kind of music my (or other people's) band actually play, and tell us what you think.

Andy, I think your band plays Scandinavian Reggae kind of music. Not that his genre exists or anything. But I imagine, crazy, smart, and somewhat jazzy music. Early Erykah Badu with a Scandinavian touch and a bit of Bjork added to the mix.

As for mine, I ignored the last rule just to emphasize on the silly, useless fun.

    Cool covers people

I think Scandinavian Reggae could work for Data Intergrity/Integrity

kohoutek, Your band sounds to me like they would play Acoustic Rock, with perhaps an edgy flamenco feel in places

Shaun, yours looks and feels like they play Indian Rap, complete with Sitars, Tablas, and Banshuri

That's an interesting one dev! Did that bg come as it is, or did you photoshop the animals etc into it? Either way, it's a nice cover!

I think, from the look of your cover, that this band are a Danish Pop supergroup...

Hey, it's fun! As you can see, if I depended on my photoshop-fu to make money I'd have probably starved by now, but I think I got lucky. See it for yourself and tell me if it's the kind of CD you'd buy:

Great stuff R I especially like the track listing..

I'm not decided on what music A.S Douglas wrote, and without going to wikip to see who he was, I'll say perhaps he's a diverse artist, possibly Springsteen-esq with a bluesy edge.

It's really a fun thing to do. I imagine what kind of music and style of the cover my band will have.
