How many percentage of your followers actually read your tweets? If they are following thousands of twitters.
If they are following thousands, then probably less than 0.1%.
Anyone who is following thousands is only doing reciprocal following, you follow me and I follow you and has no intention of ever reading their twitter incoming items.
i guess it's true. if you are following hundreds then most probably you will only check for specific updates. It is impossible to check them all.
I think very less people read my tweets.
You can say less than 1%.

it goes on each individual post if you ever get to see them
I think it all depends on what your topic is and how many people are interested in it.
I never really had much luck with twitter. And honestly, I don't get why people would go so far as having thousands of followers and followed people when only a very small percentage of these read the tweets.
I follow 400 people and read most of it, but I'm not going to go back and read every single tweet that happened while I was sleeping or on vacation either.
Do you expect your RSS subscribers to read every single article you post? Do you think they never hit "mark all as read"? Start thinking of twitter the same way.
For my personal twitter account, I would say 50% of my followers actually read my status messages. My other accounts, specifically made for my websites, don't get that much readership. I don't get that much traffic from links I'm posting.
I set up groups on Tweetdeck and I have some people who I follow more closely than others. Spammers, people who only RT and use quotes, people with meaningless tweets, people who repeat the same tweets too often - those I stop following altogether.
I know people are reading my tweets, because I get replies to them. That's on my personal Tweeter account though and I do have some hot topics to address (like politics in the Middle East).

for me, i'm concerned with everyone who is following me, is following my tweets, i dont even accept people with following thousands of people. I never follow people in return. My philoshopy is if you are following me, you are reading what my biz and i have to say, i am not interested in having people who are never going to read what i say in my following pool.
I think we don't know exactly but the important thing is your available website's content
Hello,
i don't think so followers read every tweet, even sometimes I don't read tweets... I just read and reply to those who chats with me and @ me

I think most of my followers doesn't read it, probably around 10%
Honestly, I'm really not sure how many of my followers do read my tweets.

Very few I guess. I have a lot of marketing guru followers who probably couldn't SEO their way out of a wet paper bag, all wanting to sell me ebooks I wouldn't print out & wipe my bottom on, and who generally are just noisy shill vehicles.
Me? I just post my blog updates, occassional quips, and talk about football & wrestling. The ones that do read them (I'd say probably about 25%, do appreciate what I write, though.

Honestly I don't know how many followers are reading my tweets, but for me as long as there is 1 out of 100 who is reading my tweet is okay with me ..
i think 20% of the followers read my tweets

I'm very new on twitter and i'm followed by almost 100 users (not sure how many of them are actual persons and not bots or just spammers). As i can see in the statistics of the link shortener service, my links (both to my blog and to other content) have 20-50 clicks each.
My real problem with twitter is that i can't keep up with the tweets of the users I follow! You can read my relevant article here. I'd love to head your thoughts on the subject.
