    That old IE magic...

    Can someone tell me wtf is going on here in IE6&7(& 8 apparently!) with the tell a friend panel? I've never seen this before and I have no idea how to fix it...

    http://www.mytimeweekends.com/contact.php

    it scrolls using scriptaculous' effects library...

    I'm busy de-bugging all the CSS, and that's proving enough of a &%^£, if anyone could help here I'd REALLY appreciate it...

    What do you need help fixing?

    I clicked the tell a friend link in IE6 and IE8, and a form slides down into view.

    The problem was that depending where you were scrolling on the page, the background of the div exposed when you drop down the 'tell a friend' div was going missing and revealing the black underneath...

    I've now hard hammered everything like this...

    Code:
    #recommendform dl {
    	background:#666!important;
    }

    #recommendform p {
    	background:#666!important;
    }

    #recommendform form {
    	background:#666!important;
    }

    #recommend {
    	background:#666!important;
    }
    ...which is lousy CSS probably, but stops it happening...

    EXCEPT in IE8 where when, if you open up the panel and then scroll up and down the main page, you'll see that the background to the right of the submit button periodically disappears.

    The button itself is not in a div, so I don't know why it happens there - I suspect IE crap rendering...am I wrong?

    Sorry to re-ask, but are there any IE8 experts out there who know why when you scroll up and down the page the black strip appears to the right of the send button? (obviously the tell a friend panel has to be open)??

    I've not been able to find anything on it, so again any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Jim
