Nah. I gave 'em a chance when Vista came out trying Windows Live OneCare, and the AV was horrible.

Symantec Endpoint Protection for me. Corporate AV software is the only kind I'll use. Anything designed for consumers always ends up a resource hog or broken.

I'll stick with AVG. They may have turned it into bloatware with 8.0 but they fixed the problems with 8.5

I like NOD32 myself, not bloated yet effective.

Symanntec software never touches my PCs. Too many fried windows installs with Norton suites in previous eras, and it is horribly bloated on a good day.

I'll have a look since it's free, I already use windows defender which works ok. I keep forgetting what it's called though! Morro? Apparently not very memorable for me

Not sure yet. I might give it a try because I'm actually - yes, God forbid - not using any AV software at the moment. I rarely boot up my Windows installation, so I've procastinated the issue. I've considered getting either Kaspersky or NOD32. Perhaps MS's offering is good. I'll most likely check it out.

K, I use avast and besides the slightly annoying 'Virus Database has been updated' voice-over now and again I can't complain.

As for Ms AV, I'm unlikely to try it out really, since I've been happy with Avast for so long. I'm not that bothered by what I use, so long as it is not Kaspery, Norton, Macaffe or any other of the big commercial ones. They tend to be REALLY resource-intensive in my experience.

Well it's available if you are willing to jump through all the hoops they appear to make you jump through in order to download it. I wasn't willing...
