Question Is this possible in gmail ?

Hey guys is it possible somehow to block an email address in Gmail? i know i can create a filter so that the mails go directly to my trash can but i want to block the emails from coming into my account from a particular address. I dont even want them in the thrash can, And also maybe if possible also have gmail send an email to the sender that the message could not be delivered like in Hotmail it gives you that message when your inbox is full and someone sends you an email.

Is this not possible in Gmail? Because ive been searching and couldnt find anything

AFAIK, Gmail does not offer any type of blocked senders list. Your only option is filtering.

Is it possible if i configured gmail in my outlook ? If so plz let me know the method. My aim ultimately was- the sender from a particular id must receive the message that his message could not be delivered to me..

You could try and fake it out with an auto reply. Why not just tell them you no longer wish to speak to them?

But do i need to create a new id for that like mailteam at gmail.com. Does it cause any issues if known to gmail team ?

Don't know how the auto reply would look like it isn't coming from you. Honestly, at this point your options are:

    1) As dan suggested, a filter. See no evil, hear no evil.
    2) Trickery (fake auto reply)
    3) Change your email address

I'd just do #1 and forget about it. Maybe you could try the gmail help and report it as abuse, but they will probably say it isn't their problem. If you need this sort of functionality, you need to run your own mail server, which generally isn't worth it.
