Creating movie site: where to get dvd cover images?
I'd like to create a site about movies (nationally released feature films in theaters and dvd) and I'm wondering where I can get the images that represent the movie? I'm not sure what you call them but the images that would be used on a dvd cover or for a movie poster.

Contact the MPAA and some of the major studios and ask them. There must be an official source that online stores use.

imdb.com or simply google.
Have the relevant legislation somewhere about copyright issues etc. You are basically okay to use a still or poster image etc if listing the film (much legal wordage later). Always amuses me when movie sites put their copyright on a still, they don't own the copyright the movie studio does.
Good luck with your venture. Run a movie site myself (down under horror movies, books etc) and it's a job and a half to keep up with the releases currently.www.scaryminds.com ScaryMinds - horror's last colonial outpost.

Do you have a pointer to the copyright information somewhere online?
I did come across this google answer post which I guess is about the same thing I am asking about:
