Creating ASP.NET applications using Rad Studio

    Hiya Guys,

I am new to ASP.NET and have noticed that I can create projects in Rad studio. Does anyone do this? I want to know what pro's/con's there are. It seems that all the main methods are contained within a .pas file and the main aspx inherits off that using CodeBehind. Is this a good way or not?

The only Server Side Scripting I use atm is php and I mainly rely on functions and includes so this is a little different

    Thanks in advance

I never heard of Rad Studio, but anything with Rapid Application Developement in the title is generally avoided as that really maps to "Rapid Nightmare Development."

Get yourself a copy of Visual Web Developer 2008 and go through the tutorials and learn OOP and ASP.NET. The OOP skills will go back to PHP. If you ever want to go back after visiting the promised land.

    Thanks for the post.

Rad Studio is the former Delphi series, i.e Delphi 7. I already know OOP as I use this is my day to day work so that is no problem.

I will give visual web developer a go and see what it is like. Thanks
