Opera Will Reinvent the Web on June 16th!

On June 16th at 9:00 a.m (CEDT), we will reinvent the Web.
    http://www.opera.com/freedom/
I'm guessing; this will be an online storage service (like Dropbox) on cloud, but with some features added related to browsing.

Well, this was not a good guess actually, any ideas?

I hope it's not just about releasing Opera 10.0 final.

Look in the HTML source of the page

    <!--
We start our little story with the invention of the modern day computer.
Over the years, the computers grew in numbers, and the next natural step in the evolution was to connect them together. To share things.
But as these little networks grew, some computers gained more power than the rest and called themselves servers ...
    -->
I wouldn't put it past 'em to build a web server into Opera 10. Then every computer is also a server. Could serve up your bookmarks to your other computers or share files or allow some kind of communication between Opera browsers.

I guessed by the illustration on the page they have set up that it is some cloud-based service. Quite intriguing...

If it is something revolutionary, then I'll be interested to see what it adds to the Opera browsing experience.

Well, that certainly is ambitious and Opera could very well be reinventing the Web with this initiative if it gains sufficient momentum.

Will this put their 1% of the market up to 1.25%? Only joking; it certainly looks interesting. I'm still recovering from the shock of the possibilities of Googles "wave". Now this to compound things. Sometimes I wish progress would progress a little slower, as I never seem to be able to find the time to catch up.

    No.

I've been using Opera 10 beta since it was released, and now I'm using the Unite build.

I too am already using Opera 10 and think it's superb especially it's speed but even if I thought it was the best thing since sliced bread would still turn down honorary membership of the Microsoft IE Troll club.

Finally, Opera lets you drag tabs out of the window into a new window or another existing window.

This feature is the #1 reason I have been using Chrome

Sweet. I didn't know that was now possible.
