    mysql command line access

I've built a number of sites on shared hosting packages that don't have command line access, but now I'm building a site where I have to use it and I can't figure out how.

From the Mac "Terminal" utility, how would I access a mysql database?

    Thanks

Its dependent on variety of things, but assuming your on a mac try:

    /usr/local/mysql/bin/mysql -u root -p

If its a XAMP install that won't work fyi. I can't remember where XAMP places everything at the moment.
The only code I hate more than my own is everyone else's.
