Should I use
tag?

I was wondering how often people use the
tag. I don't use it that much, I often set the
tag to have a margin of zero in the CSS.

    Use the
(or
for XHTML) tag whenever you have a line break with a semantic value.

For instance, in a postal address, poetry, song lyrics, program code, etc. In some cases, using a
...
element can be preferable.

Line breaks cannot be used instead of paragraphs (
...
) though. They have very different semantics.

    I think using
has better SEO benefits.. Not sure if you're taking that into account...

It has no SEO benefits whatsoever. No more benefit to the seach engines than me either wearing casual dress shoes or my size 13 (US) steel toe boots.
