    Something not right in IE7

    Hi
hope this is in right area. My first question.
I have a site for a club that open perfectly in Firefox 3 and Chrome but not so in IE7.
When you click on a thumbnail the pic opens and has a black transparent background behind it. It uses Lightbox. Perfect as i said in Firefox and Chrome but IE7 is driving me mad, mad , mad.
The background stops 3/4 of the way along and I can not figure out the problem so I am turning to the brilliant people of this forum to solve it.

    balnarringbowls . site40 . net / photos . html
Hope someone can help as I am going nuts.
    Thanks

I'll bet you are using the mark one version. Use the mark two version, that works in IE

Mark One - http://www.huddletogether.com/projects/lightbox/ - test it's examples in IE
Mark Two - http://www.lokeshdhakar.com/projects/lightbox2/ - and then test these examples in IE7

There are many clones of the original lightbox - I've recently used slimbox which I found was very simple to use.
It's called Slimbox because it is a smaller, slimmer script

there is an updated version that uses JQuery as well

Thanks Dr John but I'm pretty sure I am using lightbox2 and both those examples work fine in IE 7.

Still unsure as to what is causing it.

Try removing the default margin and padding from the body tag. Add body{ margin: 0; padding: 0; } to your stylesheet.

    Hope this helps.

After a fair bit of stuffing around. (It seemed to work and then didn't) it looks like this has worked for me.

Many thanks to index.html and Dr John for their advice. It was very welcome and much needed.
