    @Shyflower -- Not a poet at heart?

Although I might call it yellow not orange, I'm sure you've seen it countless times.
Yet I'm almost as sure you've never looked at it long and hard.

Oh I am quite a poet at heart. Just a bit our of practice. I did think of it, but the orange ball threw me (instead of me throwing it- but then it would be too hot to handle, wouldn't it?) I do follow the yellow ball from day to day.

Haven't you got that round the wrong way <lol> I'd certainly be running for the air-con or better yet a swimming pool after that :-)

I have to say that I don't suffer the heat but I hate the cold. It can be as hot as hell and I still be just fine. Which is good because my city gets extremely hot in the summer

If I ever need anything, I cold diet coke (lemonade, or any other drink) will do.

I don't need swimming, but I like it, so I do swim

I have ice cold drinks with plenty of ice cubes to cool me down, I hate the summer plus the heat that comes with it (I get affected by summer and the heat badly), its the worst time of year for me, I am a winter person

First of all, just for the record, I LOVE hot weather. Maybe it is becuase I live in Vermont and the weather is more often than not, COLD, rather than hot. Also, our summer never seems to last long enough here! But at any rate, my favorite way to stay cool in the summer is to ride my yamaha R1 motorcycle; the wind that is constantly blowing on you feels great when it is hot out. The only downfall is when you have to come to a stop light etc. LOL!

Extremely spicy food that contains a high dose of Capsaicine makes you sweat, it condenses on your skin and therefore has a nice cooling effect. Of course, you could also jog for an hour and have the same effect, though then you lose valuable energy. When I lived in the Sahara, this was my favourite means of cooling off. We didn't have a swimming pool, though. Actually,we did, but there was no water in it.

During summer season I'm always craving for soda on glass and full of ice on it. That's really satisfy my thirst and refreshes me.

Well, until just a few months ago a nice ice cold glass [or bottle sometimes] of Coca-Cola would cool me down nicely! The refreshing taste that is "always Coca-Cola". Although a really cold bottle of Evian Water would do the trick!

But since I turned 18 in March, and I live in the UK, it's usually been an ice cold glass of Rose wine. It keeps me very very happy after a couple of glasses, so I'm not bitter about staying in my room coding and reading away lol. And it tastes refreshing and keeps me cool.

When the REAL summer comes in the UK I'll be downing some Pimms! I have to say Pimms [for me] is the most refreshing alcoholic drink I've ever tasted and it's perfect for the summer. Whether you're inside or outside at a BBQ. Pimms and Lemonade actually goes down a treat.

    Lord...I talk too much! :O

AC + iced tea = me cool

Hopefully it's not gonna be cold and/or rainy outside soon enough and it actually comes down to needing to cool down.

I am a fan of iced coffee (I caught it from some Greek friends of mine) but besides a cool drink I default to a fan. Most places in the UK don't have AC, and if it does have an AC it is literally a fan in a hole in the wall anyway.

I have a cool clip-fan that I use at my desk, and for the night I have a tall tower fan that is completely awesome beyond comprehension.

Open the windows at night and close them in the morning. During the day, keep the shades pulled and as many lights off as possible. The long term solution is to grow trees close to and that will eventually overhang your house.

Some time it is very difficult to control, as suggested it is very much advisable to control.

IMO cold shower or quick swim would be the best options!

I picked "When I'm hot, I'm hot and I sizzle till I burn out!" because here in the UK if it's hot it doesn't last long so you have to make the most of it!
