adding images

Hi everyone
Please could I have some advice on how to add an image to notepad as I have followed the instructions in 'Build your own Website The Right Way using HTML and CSS 2nd edition' p48 and p49 and have been so far unable to add any images!

You will not see the image in notepad, only in your browser.

Assuming your images are in a folder called images, inside the folder containing your html files, this is the code to add an image to an html file
<img src="images/myimage.jpg" alt="some text2 title="some other text">

PS stop using notepad, it is one of the most primitive editors around. Download notepad++ for a vastly superior editor.

Notepad++ is excellent, but it may be too much for a novice designer. An effective in-between text editor is EditPad. The Lite version is free, and it works for 90% of what I do. Though I have NP++, I find the EditPad environment a bit friendlier. Or maybe it's just what I'm used to.
