OOOH, Buffy is good for stress!
Like most, i turn to my good ol' guitar.
Lift weights, read unreadable tomes, crumple up paper and bat it around with a large wrapping paper cardboard tube, turn up music loud and scream along to it, crank on a guitar until my skin peels from my fingers, mash various colors of paint onto paper...

I'm like Shayne in that I'm pretty good at switching off the stress:- what I usually find myself doing is listening to music and reading for a while, a book, magazine, newspaper.
Or, I'll find myself picking up the guitar, and picking out one of the pieces I'm learning and following it with a few pieces in my repertoire. That works a treat if I can shut myself away for an hour or two. It's cathartic, I'm sure.![]()
I work out as well.
I simply listen to music as it releases all the stress out from my body.....
Music is stress-buster
The right kind of music for the right kind of mood is a good stress-buster.
But what works best for me is exercise. Taking long walks, especially with my dog, and going for a swim. Really shifts everything back into perspective.

Play and listen to music. Hang out with my GF, drink martinis and pints with my friends.
This is the quick way - just take 5 deep breaths. Focus on nice things or memories you have experienced in the past and breathe in deeply.

I usually meditate to flush out the stress, works most of the time![]()
Meditation has been a real saviour of mine lately. Self hypnosis audio too. I never thought it would work but I have embraced it.

Music! Loud !
Complete with air-guitar and head-banging!
Trying to fill the unforgiving minute
with sixty seconds' worth of distance run.

depends on the stressful situation... I talk to one of my friends who are all highly qualified life coaches and they help me get perspective plus a way forward. I take a bath and then curl up on the couch in front of a movie or TV show. If I just need to switch my brain off then you'll find me rocking out on the xBox playing either Guitar Hero (II or III) or Rockband... ooo, we just got drums too, that could be awesome :P
I watch my favorite american and korean series.. I love drama series..![]()
I'm a retail therapy kinda girl, I find nothing better than a good old splurge. Not so easy in these economic times, but I found DubLI, which was a real lifesaver! Seriously, the prices there are crazy...
Music is good too, I love to rock out, totally gets rid of my stress. I guess after that watching a really bad movie is kinda fun too, anyone else like to yell at the idiots in horror films doing all the wrong things? lol
all the while!
I like to play my piano. The big classical/powerful pieces usually are good ones and good arm workouts too haha.
