    Hosting/Domain Name Reseller

I am stuck between GoDaddy and HostGator for reseller account. What I want is to offer my client to host their site I design on my hosting service but I also want to offer reseller program on other site.

    Here are the problems:

GoDaddy have good automatic system, but it won't let me have the freedom to have access into my client's cpanel to upload or update their website unless they have to give me their username and password. GoDaddy requires me to purchase reseller and SUPER reseller package if I want to run two websites.

GatorHost offers me to manage WHM and Cpanel for my clients which is good. They also have ENOM for me to be domain dealer. The negative thing about Gatorhost is that I have to use one of their free template, if I need one, but their templates sucks! And I do not know how to tailor my own website with their WHM automated billing system.

What do you suggest and where can I find a good hosting template to edit. I just wish that GatorHost have automatic system with better template!

I am not fond of Reseller Club.

    I know what you mean.
    I'm having the same problems!

More hosts should offer reseller services...

Hello Eric. I assume that all that you need right now is start doing research for the reviews. Both of them are quite known around and I assume that you will have plenty of information to review. Perhaps you will change your mind and go with another not listed there company

http://www.resellerguide.com/p/free-hosting-templates/ and http://www.rickyswebtemplates.com/ are few good sites. You can download free templates from our site damnx.us as well. These are totally free

    Good luck.

Enom.com. As far as I aware that is one of the best service for the domain name reselling.
I believe that web hosting reseller services can be found with hands down

I'm not sure why you feel that you "have to" do that. You can actually upload and use any template from any source (as long as you're not violating copyright laws of course).

Never used GoDaddy except for domains. I didn't like them at all. I've also heard lots of negative things about their hosting. Expect a lot of support tickets...

HostGator is well known company. They provide all tools to setup your site but i assume that you need good web hosting templates. You don't need to go with another hosting provider as you have already choosen one ( hostgator ). Only, you need hosting template. Spend some bucks to get professional template

HostGator is decent but i will say i was not happy with them when i used them, but just to say now a days there are a thousand hosts who offer reseller packages and the things you are going after.

But if you are honestly serious about doing this I would suggest of course getting your own VPS which will cost a little more but would definitely be better in the long run.

Mediatemple offers a good one for about $50 a month but they dont use cpanel. But just look there are plenty of good VPS providers some even for $20 a month.

Thank you guys. I have signed up with HostGator and got aluminum reseller package to practice first. Does anyone know a good WHM guidebook to read?

Hostgator should has a number of good tutorial videos on their site that you could take a look at. Then there's always the WHM manual: http://twiki.cpanel.net/twiki/bin/vi...tion/DocsIntro

Do not buy domain and web hosting from same website, you can try namecheap/godaddy for domain registration and hostgator, hostmonster ,etc for hosting.

I would personally choose Hostgator as the reseller web hosting company, and use Godaddy as the domain name registrar.
