Graduation money

I'm getting at least 500 dollars for my graduation (500 from parents + X amount from friends).

I was thinking of buying some product (any suggestions is open)

I was thinking Dreamweaver? Fireworks? Suggestions?

I don't know enough about you to really say for sure, but...

I wouldn't buy Dreamweaver (nothing against it)

Fireworks, I love it, but what are you using now?

Are you a Windows user? Save it for Win 7!!!

My recommendation is to save it until you really need it for something.

I hate dreamweaver too but I might need it one day..nothing really for it just figured I should buy something with it (gotta get this economy started somehow

I would save for Windows7, and knowing Microsoft it will be pretty much everything you have

It's supposed to be released in time for the holidays, but I am not sure if that was an official statement or if they will adhere to it.

You might think that its lame but seriously, if i get some money to spend upon something that really satisfies me, i would like to donate to those freewares that made my work and my life easier...

I know the feeling, when I get that urge to buy something, I generally buy something.

(hence my laptop that I rarely use).

I should have encouraged the purchase of silver coins and/or storable food in my first post, but I was not thinking.

I have the same feeling. When I pass a delicious looking pizza in the grocery store, I buy it. Along with a half gallon of nesquik and a crap load of gummy worms

Why do nesquik have that rabbit on the front of the packet? I keep telling my sister who drinks it that those chocolate grounds are actually rabbit droppings.

Anyone found an updated version of topstyle?.

In the screenshots its showing warnings about netscape/ie4 and 6, etc. Is the real product more..updated?

Ryan - don't laugh, but put that money into something like a 6 month CD. Shop around to make sure you get the best rates, but if you don't know what to buy with your money, why don't you let it make you some (granted, not much) more money in the meantime?

Hi Ryan you can get a fully working student copy that's much cheaper whilst you are at college of photoshop, dreamweaver and many other software packages. What are you going to use the software for building websites, or photo manupulation. The two packages I have used the most of are photoshop and dreamweaver, not a big fan of fireworks.

I'm not going to college

. Many people said it would not be worth it as the cost of going would not justify with the learning.

Maybe not a four-year university, but a community college (that lets you transfer credits) would still be a good option.

I may just go to say I went to college but probably not in web design, maybe studying the human mind or design principles.
