    Just changed from a vps to a dedicated server.

    I have just transfered my File Hosting site over from a vps server to a high spec dedicated server the main reason was that only certain countries could view the site i had spoken to the hosting company and there helpdesk was total rubbish,we are hoping to solve this problem with a new dedicated server would it be possible for someone to just check that they can access the site and from what country that they can view from please.

    Here is the link http://www.filethe.net and just post if you could either 'yes' or 'no' you can view it and from what country you can view it.

    A very big thank you for your help.

    No, and I am in the UK.

    I would give your webhost a pretty strong ultimatum to get this sorted out very quickly.

    @corbyboy thanks very much for your reply but that is not the news that i wanted to hear really :-( so it looks like it back to the drawing board !!! What is causing this problem is totally beyond me so i will have to go back to the hosting people for some suggestions.

    Once again thanks.

    Is your server down? I couldn't access it too, i'm from United States, it's 4:35pm GMT, May 24.

    Error: The browser could not find the host server for the provided address.

    Maybe it's your firewall?

    @alexpr07 thanks for your feedback the server people are working on finding out what is causing this problem as it is becoming a nightmare and i have passed on your comment about the Firewall idea.

    Your server IP address may be not reachable from the countries where people are not able to see your website. It is better to get tracert report from where it is not accessible. You will get better idea from the tracert report about the issue.

    The command to get tracert report in windows environment is following:

    1. Click Start -> Run -> cmd
    2. tracert -d websitename

    @thewebhostingdir thanks very much for your help and advice,we think that we may have solved the problem by tweaking a few setting and rebooting the server as it was a brand new server setup on friday we will wait for 24 hours to see if this has sorted the problems out.Thanks for your feedback mate.

    Right i am pretty certain that everything on the server is working fine,i am getting some feedback from people and it looks as if we have finally cracked it.

    But extra feedback from your good selves would be a added bonus and it totally free,just try to overload it i bet you can't :-)
