Back-end is OK but the major thing it is missing is a good templateing system, all of those who have seen how vB's templates work will know the kind of thing I am on about.
Midgard is to complicated to install for the average user and would require interventation and co-operation on the half of the people hosting the web site.
As for the other one I haven't looked.

Thanks for your replies. Actually I have decided to do the a system myself. There are too much that need to be modified in the existing ones, even though they are quite good.
And after having read Kevin Yank's tutorial, I think I should be up to the job ;-).

I tried Back-End, which is a good program but still in its infancy. I am building my own system from the ground up now though, because I want some very specific things I can't do by simply editing Back-End's code. Back-End also doesn't support images yet
Fine idea...as has been said here many times: there's no turn-key solution that will be useful to a high number of sites...everything needs to be personalized...you'll probably outgrow anything pre-packaged anyway, so learning it yourself is always the better way to go, assuming you have the time.
