I think I signed up for that AGES ago. Never used it really. Used ICQ a TON but that is more of a messenger.

First one I embraced was facebook.

Waaay back in the late 90's ICQ was my go to social networking platform. These days it's twitter and facebook . I'm also a frequent user of flickr, but don't really embrace the social side of it. LinkedIn is something I'm finding myself using more and more often of late.

Well actually, ICQ was never intended to be a social network rather than an instant messaging service (like Windows Live Messenger, GoogleTalk or to a point, Skype), ICQ took the "telephone number" style account name rather than something meaningful which ultimately made the login more complex, that fueled with the rise of proper VoIP pretty much sidelined ICQ from the general Internet savvy users.
