Frames or PHP Tables ? (music)

    Hello fellow sitepointers,

    My aim :

To have music play continually through an account based website even while navigating.

    What i have tried :

Using html frames - Worked for keeping the music playing but removed the need for user to be logged in.

PHP Tables - Worked for keeping the need to be logged in but music restarts when navigating to another page.

    Additional Notes :

I am using midi music played through a Java Script.

    Database is mysql.

    Any help or questions appreciated.

    Thanks for reading.

You could just open a new window with the media player in it.

what's a php table? an html table? i think so. there's only seperate windows or frames. it seems to me frames are bad enough to make a separate window the better option.

This is what i mean by PHP Tables :

    "free2code.net/tutorials/view/replace_frames_with_php_tables-27/page2.html"

There are other methods such as using AJAX or Flash but i wanted to avoid these methods.

Looks like i'll be going back to frames unless anyone can think of a solution.

    Thanks for your help.
