Record Audio from Microphone to my Server

I don't think this is a PHP question, but I don't know where to post it.

I am looking for a way to allow my users to record audio from their microphones to my server. I have to imagine this is possible with flash or that there are several plugins developed for this purpose, but I have been unable to find any. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I am not sure that Flash has this kind of privileges on client's computer.

Maybe microsoft ActiveX technology can help pn client's side

You will have to use either Flash or Java. Flash will be much easier to wield, however.

Unfortunately, to record the microphone, you will have to send the audio directly to either Adobe Flash Media Server ($$), Wowza Media Server Pro ($$), or Red5 (free).
