    Unhappy Best Website Builder Softwares

I'd like to set up a portal but have no knowledge of designing and no money to pay a designer. I want to have around 100 articles, contacts details of a few 1000 doctors and a blog to begin with. If the site takes off I'd like to add a forum too. Thanx a lot for the suggestions.

Download WordPress and choose a CMS-style theme. It won't cost you a penny.

Dan is right if you need a pleasant looking site. The alternative is learn html or learn to use a program like Dreamweaver - both of which take time and your early efforts aren't likely to be too beautiful.

Wordpress. If you're an absolute newbie and/or don't want to futz around with some minimal PHP, you can go even more simple and try wordpress.com (hosted blog with some pretensions to CMS).

Wordpress is probably the best introduction to website design anyone can get, apart from the thousands of free skins, theres just so much flexibility with it
