Wordpress Blog: Tags coming over as categories in RSS feed
In our RSS2 feed, the tags of our posts are shown as category nodes in the XML.
Why the confusion and is there a way to make it put the ACTUAL category instead of the tags in the category node(s)?
We do not have any feed plugins, it is using the built-in feed aggregator.
Code:From the RSS2 XML: <SNIP>
Tips for Selecting Construction Software

Construction Software

commercial industrial construction company

SQL database

tips choosing software
<SNIP> From the blog: Tags: commercial industrial construction company, Construction Software, SQL database, tips choosing software Posted in Construction Software

This is normal and not an error. Every feed is like this. If you'll notice, your category, in this case "construction software" is already listed, along with the tags. What's the problem?

for google sitemap this is good to make sure all your sub pages/tag pages are indexed, if you need a special filtered feed I suggest install another plugin with google sitemap generator and usee multiple feeds

JDevereux, rainmist,
It's not that I think it's "harming" my feed, I need to PARSE it in my own reader based on the CATEGORIES, not TAGS. Is there any way to make it send the categories instead of the tags? I, personally, think this is a BUG as the node says '
'
NOT '<tag>'
jit958, eugie17, What the heck are you two talking about?MrBaseball34
