I updated to IE8 and now all my links in the favorites folder do not have a url attached. I tried to google for the problem and some information I found suggested a wrong path in the registry. I looked at that and did not see a wrong path.
Does anybody else have the same issue?
Can I roll back to IE7 if I can not fix this?
The issue is your favorites have been corrupted, I have had the same issue occur on occasion with individual links, If you are using Vista Ultimate you could possibly use shadow copy to retrieve the files, else your unlikely to be able to restore the bookmarks.
I just tested to bookmark a link now and IE is giving me an error message. So something most really be corrupt with my favorites in IE. Should I just reinstall it?
It looks like another person had the same problem, but he didn't really elaborate on how to solve it. Hopefully you can pick up something from this post.
