Windows 7/XP dual boot

Hi,

Just wanted to ask this before I preced, I am about to dual boot Windows 7 and Windows XP. Once the windows 7 RC expires, how do I go about un dual booting my PC so that only XP remains?

I think you will need to edit the boot.ini file to do this. Google for boot.ini tutorial or smt simular.

Vista/7 uses a new boot loader and boot.ini doesn't do anything anymore.

There's actually no need to dual boot with XP and 7, as 7 will offer an "XP mode" feature that will allow you to both launch and XP virtual machine and run XP applications on your desktop.

This is only in the Professional version, which many home users will not be using. Also this virtualization mode won't allow for video acceleration; meaning if you want to play old games, dual booting with XP is still the way to go.

Also worth mentioning that XP mode will be a add-on for Windows7 and it's currently not released and as far as I know, no release date has been set it will also be a download.
