    CHM Program !?!?

I'm trying to find a program that is associated with the CHM extension, anyone know of one or a few to choose from, preferable freeware\opensource?

Microsoft HTML Help is a free download and is built around CHM support.

Nope, that program didn't work the program that keeps calling on a CHM program is one of those CHM -> PDF converters so hopefully that helps in finding something that would work?

Sounds like you don't need a CHM program because your converter is hijacking the extensions. That Microsoft product for the record does work, therefore it has to be down to whatever you have installed.

You know Windows has built in support for CHM...

All the converter program tells me is
"there is no program associated with the given file name extension"
therefore the conversion does not happen.

Sounds like your converter is defective. No converter should have to rely on 3rd party software to be able to read the thing. I would get rid of it.

The Program is Nitro PDF professional, unless you know of an alternative that does exactly the same thing?

Nope, but basically the problem is your program is hijacking the CHM extension, so all the time you have it installed, your not going to be able to view CHM files natively by the looks of it (well unless you try re-associating it, but then the PDF program may just hijack it back).

Forget it, I'll try to find another program or ask around that does identical to what I'm looking for.
