Best 'free' MP3 Splitter software

I know I can do a search on google for this but sometimes google doesn't show the best results top of the pile, but what I want is peoples opinion on what they think is the best MP3 splitting software they have used that is free, of course

I don't really do any straight "splitting" of mp3s, so these might be overkill but

are both good free options in Windows

For cutting they are all good, some have additional features, Audacity is multifunctional, the others are highly tailored

Im after something as well and i have tried the above programs and can never seem to split my mp3's correctly..

I couldnt find a free version of Audacity?
