Thanks Jeremy. I've found 2 ideas. One using Illustrator and the other using a Live Motion Live Tab.
By the way, you should try Live Motion. Depending on what your doing, it is real easy to use. Also, if you use Adobe products, you will feel right at home.
yeah, i come from an after effects background (4+ years) and tried to get to grips with macromedia flash, but found its convoluted, non-intuitive (for me anyway) way of working very puzzling. got livemotion 2, and within minutes had some simple animations going. as i've also got javascript experience, i had interactive things up and running in no time too. ok, it's now lagging one version behind (only creates flash 5 files), but nevertheless this tool has enabled me to dive into this area with a close to zero learning curve. true, it still has some really annoying quirks (e.g. the way it resizes/rotates objects and doesn't snap to grid when doing so), but yes...definitely tasty.
I personally think there is need for both (Flash MX and Live Motion 2)if your are designing sites that are heavy into annimation. Live Motion is very easy to get use to. CNET rates it above Flash MX mainly because of it's ease of use. Check out the reviews.
