I've got a client on tiscali who needs cms.. anyone with experience?

OK So does anyone have experience of Tiscali? Does it come with any server technologies (Hoping php)? My client wants to stay with his current host and will not change for chips, however I cannot find any information on it and he's being really lapse about giving me any details, wants the site designed etc first! But he also wants a CMS system (Never used one so going to try joomla) but if there's no backend integration i'm basically screwed!

Anyone with experiencE? Or a workaround would be handy! Cheers

This really looks like a very basic free hosting service.

    # You can only run CGIs provided by Tiscali.

Can I use PHP,CGI, ASP or databases?
The site does allow the use of .wml, .htaccess and .htuserfile although we will not support their use.
We do not support the use of PHP, ASP or database access on any of the Tiscali personal webspace allocations. We are currently in the process of reviewing standard CGI scripts for Hit counter and Guest book functionality

I assume that you are on the right way and actually joomla and droopal are the most used and both are free (open source).
Joomla is not really easy if you are new to this

It should be pointed out that Tiscali is primarily a British Internet Service Provider. Their services in terms of web hosting which is not their area of expertise are therefore very basic. And it should also be noted that Tiscali themselves are on the brink of financial bankruptcy which means they could disappear off the face of the earth within a matter of months as they are looking like they may end up going into receivership. His "host" is not actually a host in the technical sense, they are his ISP and give him some free space on a basic generalistic package, not the same thing by any standards.

Joomla is the best one. Of course for me but I believe that my idea will be supported by others as well. I have some projects with joomla na d other CMS, but I still believe Joomla is the best one
