Problems with displaying submitter in Simply Rails 2
Having problems in page 283 of Simply Rails 2 book where I am trying to display the submitter.
I'm getting this message:
You have a nil object when you didn't expect it!
The error occurred while evaluating nil.login
I'd post more of the error code but it appears that the forums block the post as it thinks I'm trying to spam it with email and links.
Thanks for your help!

This is a rather common problem. The book mentions the need to give the Story entries created earlier in the book a user_id value (or delete them and create all new ones), but many seem to miss that. These threads should be of help.
