    Edits To Max's News System

    LINK-
    http://www.phpf1.com/product/news-script.html

I have installed the Max's News System from the link above but the PHP admin area does not allow any edits to existing entries nor does it allow you to delete any entries.

Does anyone know of a quick snippet of code to add to these files so someone could edit and delete entries?

Thanks in advance to anyone who helps.

There are no edit or delete functions in his code, you would have to write them from scratch.

Why not use a different script which provides these basic but necessary functions?

Blog software like WordPress would work great for a news page.

I guess that is what I was looking for. I thought someone would be willing to shoot a snippet of code that would allow edits to the existing txt files that it creates. Or at least a delete feature that could be incorporated.

Is that at all possible or is it harder than it looks?

Do you know of another alternative that would use PHP only and not require a MySQL database?

This would require a database and honestly I do not know how to strip the WordPress blog down to the essentials so that I do not use an entire theme but just a portion of the WordPress (such as a single post only and not the entire navigation and the rest of the themes components).
