    Question Create Website Customer Hosting

I would like to create a website to a customer and provide domain/hosting with the package.

do I need to have a reseller account to do this?

I will charge him one time fee for the design which includes hosting.
do I need to tell him it's for one year after that you are on your own,...

I am little bit confused if someone can guide what is the best solution to this scenario would really appreciate.

Sure, if that's what you plan to do, these terms should be clear.

do I need to have a reseller account to do this?
In theory, no. But it depends on your exact goals and on the terms of the specific provider.

i would say get a reseller package, they are surprisingly affordable and start offering a year free hosting etc with all your website sales.
you can then start selling extras such as backups, tech support etc. all bits of extra little income. think long term relationships rather than just deal with them once and then cutting off ties so to speak.

Do you need a separate cPanel for each customer? If not, an unlimited domain shared hosting should be good enough. I would personally use a shared reseller account in this situation.

For the monthly payment, I'd suggest using PayPal subscription payment.

well these customers that I will deal with are mom and pop stores so they have no clue.I am with 1and1 which does not have reseller account.I heard hostnine is good 20$ a month.

so it's better to have separate reseller account for customers and me collect fees?

It's better to have a reseller account if customers will manage their account/files on their own. If you'll handle everything for them, it's not really needed.

Collecting the fees is a separate problem, though some hosts do offer billing software licenses included in the reseller hosting packages.
