    Question Setting Up Google Adwords

How do freelancers work with Google Adword accounts? This would a new account. Would a client set up their own account and then the freelancer assume managing it via an invite-after the client has funded the account or set up billing? My concern is whether or not there is a general expectation that the vendor funds the account and then is reimbursed. Since the account is new, invoicing through Google is not yet possible. What is your experience with managing Google Adwords accounts?

I would definitely have the client set up the account with their own funding. From there you can add them to your MCC account and manage it while they're billed for their own clicks.

Generally SEM vendors dealing with smaller accounts will have their client directly pay for media fees. This can be done either by setting up an account for the client and taking their payment info or by having them create an account and associating your company account as their agency. The agency tool lets you control as much as the company wants you to.

Before you set up your campaign, make sure the landing page is NOT your homepage and only on a page that is focused on a product you want to sell, and is convincing.

Adwords Editor is much better to use than trying to manage the ads online!
