    How'd this happen???

I have a website that is a general advertising site so I don't visit it very often
since there aren't any real "updates" needed...

But, today I looked at it and there was an attempt for a cookie to be stored
by the site onto my computer from "GoOoOgle.com". But, I didn't put any
code on the index page to allow this.

So, I viewed the webpage code and there was some code there that I did
    not put on this page.

So, my question is...did someone upload this code to my hosting server
to get this code onto the site?

Seems to me the server would have to have been hacked in order
    to accomplish this, right?

This just happened to me. Two of my sites had links dropped in the footer for an "alice greenfingers" game.

I spent a while figuring out what went wrong. One site is wordpress, one is not, so I figure the security hole is not with wordpress. They are on different servers, but with the same hosting company, so I don't think that was it either.

What I came up with is that I think I got a brute force attack because my password was pretty simple, and they just came in through ftp.

So, you think someone was lucky enough to simply guess the password?
